While most people enjoy getting a day off, the real reason behind Memorial Day is to honor those who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Sometimes it’s easy to forget when conflicts happen far away, or you have no connection to those who have fallen. However, the men and women of the USAF fight every day to allow us to keep our freedoms, and unfortunately not all of them make it home.
